Lazonby Pool is a community Lido open in the summer months run by the community for the community. For the last couple of years I have ran some aquatic activities like Water Polo and Rookie Lifeguard so Skwim was a welcome addition last year. I was little apprehensive prior to the first session - it has been astoundingly popular. Also the extra revenue was very much welcomed!!! We had anything between 15-30 people playing skwim at once. I (maybe unofficially) claimed the first Skwim session in the UK - which gained some great media attention.

I have also involved Skwim in our school swimming lessons at the school I teach in and played skwim at the end of a 'dual in the pool' type gala as a nice way to end to afternoon. I've been able to involve it into my swimming club sessions and have ran sessions for the scouts and other local youth groups. It has truly been one of the first aquatic sports which has involved everyone and not discriminated those with a poor swimming ability.
